The PurStrAction™ framework
Last updated 2026-05-12
PurStrAction™ is the framework that runs underneath everything in AnchoredTime. It answers a simple question: how do you turn what Jesus is calling you to in a given season into something you actually live each day? The answer is three movements and one loop.
The three movements
Purpose
Why does this Anchor exist? What is Jesus calling you toward in this season through this particular focus? Purpose is the north star. You come back to it when the day gets noisy and you forget why the Anchor was there in the first place.
Strategy
What is the path to get there? Strategy is the guide that keeps the Anchor from becoming vague. A prayer Anchor without a strategy is just a wish. A strategy might be: pray for ten minutes after breakfast using the ACTS pattern. Specific. Achievable. Faithfully chosen.
Action
What is the daily step? For your walk with Jesus, that is the Minimum Faithful Dose: the smallest act of faithfulness available to you right now. For every other Anchor, it is the doable next step across the 9 sub-domains of life. Action is what you actually do today.
The ACT•ION loop
Action does not happen once. It is a loop that keeps moving. The six steps:
- Assess - where are you right now, honestly?
- Clarify - what is the specific next step?
- Trust to Transform - hand it to Jesus when it is hard.
- Integrate - build the daily action into your actual life.
- Overcome - face the roadblock directly, do not route around it.
- Never cease - keep getting better across all pillars and sub-domains.
How to use it
- Read the full canon page at /framework before you set your first Anchors.
- When creating or editing an Anchor, AnchoredTime prompts you for Purpose, Strategy, and Action. Fill them in, even briefly.
- Use the Anchored Coach to work through the ACT•ION loop when an Anchor feels stuck or a roadblock shows up.
- Review your Purpose statements in the Weekly Review to see whether they still match what Jesus is calling you to in this season.
Why we built it
Most Christians know what they want their life to look like. They want to pray more, be present with their family, pursue their mission with courage. What is missing is a framework that is both grounded in faith and practical enough to survive a Tuesday. PurStrAction is that framework. It is not a productivity system. It is a Christian-worldview approach to how goals, dreams, and vision become a daily walk with Jesus.
