How universal search works
Search across your entire AnchoredTime history in one place - journal entries, prayer requests, Bible study blocks, and your coaching foundation.
How to open search
Tap the search icon at the top-right of any app screen. You will land on the /search page with an input ready for your query. Start typing and results appear automatically - there is no button to press.
What gets searched
Universal search covers four areas of your data, all scoped to your account only:
- Journal - the full text of every journal entry you have written.
- Prayer - your prayer requests and answered prayer notes.
- Bible study - the observation, interpretation, application, and prayer blocks from your Bible study sessions.
- Foundation - your season, mission, and life context from the coaching foundation you set up.
How results are matched
Journal, prayer, and Bible study results use full-text search with English stemming, so searching for “pray” will surface entries containing “prayer” and “praying” as well. Foundation results use a simpler word-in-text match across your season, mission, and life context.
Results are grouped by source type so you can see at a glance whether a match came from your journal or your prayer list. Each result links directly to the source record so you can open it in one tap.
Privacy
Search only ever returns your own data. Row-level security in the database enforces this boundary - no other user's data is ever in scope.
Rate limiting
Search is limited to 30 queries per minute per account to protect server resources. If you hit the limit, wait a moment and try again.
