Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: May 13, 2026 - AnchoredTime™, operated by Anchorful, LLC

1. Purpose

AnchoredTime is a Christ-centered life operating system. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the activities that are and are not permitted when using the Service. It complements our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Orthodoxy Statement. By using the Service, you agree to follow this AUP.

2. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right (including intellectual property, privacy, and publicity rights)
  • Upload, transmit, store, or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or that incites violence
  • Engage in spam, phishing, fraud, or any deceptive practice
  • Attempt to access another user's account, data, or any part of the Service infrastructure that is not intended for you
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems, or to breach security or authentication measures, without our prior written consent
  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access, extract, or interact with the Service except where explicitly permitted by a documented API contract
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or trade secrets from the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers, networks, or third-party platforms that support it
  • Use the Service to develop or train any competing AI model or product
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our prior written consent
  • Submit content you do not have the right to submit, or that infringes a copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right

3. Bible Content Use (ABS / Biblica / Tyndale)

AnchoredTime displays Bible passages from several translations. Each translation is provided under a separate license with its own use restrictions. By using the Bible features of the Service you agree to comply with those licenses, including but not limited to:

  • You may read, study, copy short passages for personal devotional use, and quote passages with proper attribution.
  • You may NOT redistribute, republish, sell, or repackage Scripture content from the Service in any form, paper or digital, without the publisher's prior written consent.
  • You may NOT scrape, mirror, archive, or bulk-download Scripture content from the Service.
  • You may NOT use Scripture content from the Service as training data for any AI, machine-learning, or large-language-model system. This includes Biblica's NIV, Tyndale's NLT, and any other licensed translation we serve.
  • You may NOT remove or alter copyright notices, attribution lines, or watermarks that accompany Scripture content.
  • Public-domain translations (King James Version, American Standard Version, World English Bible) are subject to fewer restrictions, but you must still attribute them correctly if you re-share quotations outside the Service.
  • If you display Scripture you obtained through AnchoredTime in a public-facing context (sermon, social post, article), include the translation abbreviation (e.g. NLT, CSB, NIV) and copyright notice provided alongside the passage in the app.

For Biblica (NIV) and the Tyndale House Foundation (NLT), the licensed publisher reserves all rights not expressly granted. If your intended use exceeds personal devotional study and short attributed quotation, contact the relevant publisher directly, not AnchoredTime.

4. AI Features and BYOK

When you invoke an AI feature (Grounded Response, MFD recommendations, Coach, summaries) the content you submit is sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI) for processing. You agree to:

  • Submit content only that you have the right to share
  • Not use AI features to generate content that violates Section 2 of this AUP
  • Not attempt to extract Bible content from the AI provider through prompt manipulation in a way that would violate the Bible publisher licenses in Section 3
  • Respect rate limits and per-tier AI budgets; do not script automated submission to consume our or another user's budget

If you use a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) configuration, you remain responsible for the use of your own API key under the third-party provider's terms.

5. Anchored Reset (Body-Placement Regulation)

Anchored Reset combines breath work, adaptive sound, and body-placement regulation. The Service is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. You agree not to use Anchored Reset in any context where impaired attention or motion sensitivity would create a safety risk (e.g. while operating a vehicle or heavy machinery). If you have a medical condition that may be affected by breath work or audio stimulation, consult a licensed clinician before use.

6. Reporting Abuse

If you believe another user, automated tool, or third party is using the Service in a manner that violates this AUP, report it to abuse@anchoredtime.com. We review reports promptly. Where appropriate we will warn, suspend, or terminate offending accounts.

7. Enforcement and Consequences

Violation of this AUP may result in:

  • A written warning
  • Temporary suspension of your account or specific features
  • Permanent termination of your account, with or without refund of any prepaid subscription, in our reasonable discretion
  • Removal of offending content
  • Reporting to law-enforcement agencies or content licensors where required by law or by the underlying content license
  • Civil action to recover damages caused by the violation

We may take any of these actions without prior notice if we conclude that immediate action is necessary to protect users, the Service, or third parties.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice and by email at least 14 days before the new version takes effect. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
