Your Foundation
Last updated 2026-05-12
Your Foundation is the short, true story of where you are walking with Jesus right now. It lives at /foundation and is the context the AI Coach, MFD generator, and Drift detector lean on so they can speak into your actual season, not a generic one.
Foundation lite capture (during onboarding)
After the main 7-step onboarding wizard, new users are walked through four quick Foundation prompts before landing on their daily dashboard. This Foundation lite capture takes about 60 seconds and gives the Coach enough context to speak into your actual season from day one.
- Your season - the chapter Jesus has you in right now (building, pruning, transition, etc.).
- Your roles - where God has called you to lead (husband, dad, founder, mentor, etc.).
- Your top pressure - what is creating drag in your faith, stewardship, or legacy right now.
- Your 90-day direction - the one shift Jesus is asking you to make in the next 90 days.
Each prompt supports voice input (tap the mic and speak) or typed input. Tap Skip for now on any prompt to fill it in later at /foundation.
What is in your Foundation
- Season: the chapter of life God has you in right now (e.g. early fatherhood, building a business, recovery).
- Mission: the one sentence summary of where Jesus is calling you in this season.
- Life context: the relationships and responsibilities that shape your week.
- Pillars in focus: which of Faith, Stewardship, Legacy you are currently leaning into hardest.
- Anchors in focus: the daily anchors that anchor those pillars for you right now.
- Persona (optional): AnchorDad, AnchorMom, or AnchorTeens. Picks a brand voice the AI will lean into when it speaks to you.
- Preferred translation: the Bible translation the Coach will use when it quotes Scripture to you.
How to edit a field
- Open /foundation.
- Tap the Edit button on any field. The field opens inline.
- Type your update, or tap the microphone to speak it. Whisper transcribes your voice into the field.
- Tap Save. The page updates without a reload, and the last-updated timestamp at the top moves forward.
Why Foundation matters
A generic AI gives generic answers. Your Foundation lets the Coach quote Scripture in the translation you read, frame answers in the season you are in, and notice when you drift from what you said God called you to. The more honest you are in Foundation, the more specific the support becomes.
Persona
Set your persona to AnchorDad, AnchorMom, or AnchorTeens if one of those fits your season. The AI will lean into a brand voice that matches. Leave it on none if you prefer the default voice. You can change it any time.
Where your Foundation shows up
Every AI surface in AnchoredTime now reads your Foundation before it speaks to you. The more complete it is, the more specific each output becomes.
- Faithful Action suggestion: The one-anchor recommendation references your Mission and season. When life context describes a Top Pressure, the suggestion frames its Scripture reference and reason around that pressure area.
- Drift detector: Pillars you have listed in Pillars in focus are weighted 1.5x in drift scoring. If Faith is in focus and you have been neglecting it, the Drift report surfaces that signal more prominently.
- Tag inference: When you log a journal or prayer entry, the AI that infers tags reads your season and pillars first. An entry about school pickup from an AnchorDad in an early-fatherhood season gets family tags boosted; the same sentence from someone in a launching-a-business season gets work tags weighted differently.
- Weekly prayer summary:The summary now opens with your season in view and closes by connecting the week's prayer themes to your Mission if one is set.
- Quarterly review: The 90-day reflection names your season from Foundation, surfaces how this quarter moved you toward your Mission, and notes if your Foundation is more than 90 days old so you know when to revisit it.
- Anchored Coach: Already wired to your Foundation and preferred translation (PM-608). Everything you read in the Coach voice comes from your actual season.
When to update
Foundation is not a one-time form. Update it when:
- A season changes (new job, new child, a hard valley, a season of release).
- God reorders which pillar needs the most attention right now.
- You realize what you wrote down a month ago is no longer true.
A Foundation that grows with you keeps every AI surface honest and present. The Quarterly Review will remind you if it has been more than 90 days.
